Spotlight
This week the Spotlight is on Marriage. We can offer videos that cover every aspect of a holy institution that is under fire like never before. We are covering two major aspects; the before situation, how to find your match and the after situation, how to make it all work! We offer three major teachings on each, with the opportunity, at the foot of the page, for you to comment on what you have watched.
Before …
PROBLEM: There is a shortage of men in the church! In the UK, well over 60% of the church is female and over the last 20 years 38% of men have left the church!
Here are three views on this worrying situation:

Diane Louise Jordan (ex Blue Peter) and Liz Speed tackle this situation head-on. Why are there more women than men? Is it a spiritual problem? Is it the Church’s fault? Why? Is singleness a major issue?
Debbie Maken talks about her book. Rethinking the gift of singleness. Has the Church got this right? A controversial view, what do you think? Click here to order her book from the Premier Shop.
Are the ladies taking over the Church? Where have all the men gone? Straight talking from Carl Beech, with no holds barred. No stone is left unturned in examining the issue of why men are staying away from Church. Ladies, get some hints and tips in coaxing your menfolk into Church. Men, find out how this “bit of a lad” discovered a faith and even became a Baptist minister.

After …
PROBLEM: It’s not all plain sailing. Divorce rates for Christians are much the same as for non-Christians. We may think we understand the theory, but we fall down on the practice! So, perhaps it is back to basics and here we offer you some teaching on the subject from three ministers. Surely we all want our marriages to be blessed, heavenly or magnificent – preferably all three! Do you agree with what they say? Discuss.
Michael Youssef, president of the international ministry, Leading the Way, offers three key ingredients for a blessed marriage. In this first talk he considers selflessness. In his other two talks he goes on to look at forgiveness and communications.
In this first of two videos, Bimbo Fola-Alede of Trinity Chapel Church, London, starts to cover the ten characteristics of a heavenly marriage. The first “P” is piety, with God at the centre. Click here for the second part.
Adrian Rodgers, of Love Worth Finding, a highly respected teacher (sadly no longer with us), builds his case on firm Biblical principles. Starting from the commandment, “thou shalt not commit adultery” he explains why God wants our marriage to be magnificent.
