When does life begin?

You may or may not have heard of the current Declaration of Life campaign? Perhaps it has passed you by, perhaps it seems irrelevant to your daily life. It is based around a new parliamentary bill, called the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill. Perhaps it is this complicated title that has put us off? If it has, then I hope that the videos on this page help to change your minds, as what is really at issue here are matters of extreme importance to Christians in Britain today, the life of unborn children and the survival of the family unit.

Declaration of Life

Here is some fantastic background to the bill, provided by interviews with key people who are in the know.

Should women have complete control over their fertility and pregnancy? Full legal rights to embryos before birth? What is abortion?

Josephine

Josephine Quintavalle of CORE (Comment on Reproductive Ethics) explains.

Fergusson

Is this the end of parenting as we know it? What are the future implications of this bill and the progress of Science? What about the rights of fathers and Saviour Siblings?

Curtisthomas

The view of the scientist. Professor John Bryant is Professor Emeritus of Cell & Melecular Biology. When does life begin? When is experimentation with embryos acceptable? What about fathers and what about abortion limits?
